First use of #Zebra's Rugged #Tablets in the excavation site in the Valley of the Kings was successful. The tablets were in operation inside and outside the excavation house for the preparatory inventory and damage mapping on the wall paintings, the scientific research. Daily multiple internet and power failures with daytime temperatures above 40℃ were not a problem for the tablets.

From 8 July until 22 July Arunas Blandis, who has been Managing Director at Schweers Australia Pty Limited since 2006, is in Europe. He also visited the headquarters of the Schweers Group in Meerbusch-Osterath and saw his impression confirmed that the group of companies Schweers/PanStreet is always one step ahead in technological terms.
Michael Schweers, Managing Director, founder and owner, and Arunas Blandis discussed future forms of mobility. Michael Schweers demonstrated his drone at the company premises and explained the rules for controlling drones in Germany and especially in North-Rhine Westphalia. Three operating categories, drone license and mandatory marking: on June 18, 2021, adaptations to national law became effective, concretizing the directly applicable European requirements. The basic idea behind the new regulation is a risk-based approach, i.e. the greater the risk of drone operation, the higher the requirements for people and technology. The contact for flight operations in the open category is the locally responsible aviation authority. For example, in North Rhine-Westphalia, this is the Düsseldorf district government for the administrative districts of Cologne and Düsseldorf.

The company Zebra, a manufacturer of mobile handheld computers, has just provided the terminals for excavation for this project. For implementing this work, Zebra needed a project partner handling the service. In this context, the company Zebra had the idea to take its business partner PanStreet International as a project partner on board. PanStreet International based in Meerbusch in the German Federal State of North-Rhine Westphalia has just won the „ZEBRA Innovation Award 2022“. In the framework of this project, PanStreet International purchases and provides the hardware, this means the devices, and it is entrusted with the service and warranty handling. Zebra is sponsoring the devices in this project and PanStreet International is sponsoring the service.

PanStreet International belonging to the Schweers group has an excellent reputation because of its company software Politess® Mobile. It is primarily used for the detection of parking violations and for the recording of general offences.
Due to the possibility of the integration of GPS data determination PanStreet International was in the position to develop a new app for the Düsseldorf carnival procession on 20 February 2023. By means of this app an active mobile device could regularly send GPS data about the course of the procession, as well as images created directly on the mobile device, automatically to the central organization office of the carnival procession in Düsseldorf. This project was very successful. There are, thus, manifold options for the application of the software Politess® Mobile for Android & iOS from the company PanStreet International including event and traffic flow monitoring. In this way, the software makes a considerable contribution to counteracting or averting a traffic collapse, especially in conurbations.

Michael Schweers informs himself about the challenges in police work
Digitalization, Artifical Intelligence and technical Innovations – the main topics of the 25th European Congress of Police organized by the German professional journal “Behörden Spiegel” which took place on 11 and 12 May 2022 in Berlin. These topics are also the main focus of PanStreet/Schweers group offering software solutions for parking enforcement for many cities and municipalities in Germany as well as worldwide.
The company’s customers highly appreciate its focus on future trends not only have in mind the current requirements and challenges. Upon invitation of the company Zebra, the company owner and Managing Director of the PanStreet/Schweers group Michael Schweers took part in the European Congress of Police as a strong partner of selling Zebra mobile devices for recording violations in stationary traffic and General Offences to its customers. At the Congress, Zebra presented the App “Politess Go” of the PanStreet/Schweers group. For Michael Schweers, the professional presentations held at the Congress and the professional discussions were a clear indicator that it is a great competitive advantage that PanStreet/Schweers group had already focused on digitalization at an early stage, In doing so, it addresses the needs of local authorities and security agencies in a very successful way and makes their work much easier. Furthermore, PanStreet/Schweers group gives priority to Artificial Intelligence in order to enable police authorities and local authorities to make use of their valuable working time in the most efficient way. „At the European Congress of Police it became evident that smart and intelligent digital solutions are the decisive factor for implementing an efficient law enforcement and for achieving a higher security level”, emphasized Michael Schweers.

The Areal Böhler owned by the company voestalpine in Meerbusch-Büderich is an industrial park for fairs, exhibitions and other events with a clear focus on the promotion of innovative business ideas. The location offers excellent conditions for start-ups to present themselves and, thus, achieving a value added for their companies. The Areal Böhler is open to new technologies as well as ecological and sustainable business approaches.
For a company giving priority to innovation, sustainability and technological progress like the company Schweers/PanStreet in Meerbusch-Osterath the importance of the long-standing co-operation with the Areal Böhler is not to be underestimated. Being on the pulse of time, Schweers/PanStreet has just started a pilot project in the field of innovative mobility technologies with the company EasyMile at the Areal Böhler. An autonomous electric bus of the company EasyMile is now driving at the site of the industrial park and offers a shuttle service between the exhibition halls for visitors.
On 19 April 2022 the Minster for Finance and Environment of the German federal state of North-Rhine-Westphalia Lutz Lienenkämper visited the Areal Böhler. The pilot project attracted his great interest, because it fits very well with the ideas of the federal government of North-Rhine-Westphalia giving technological progress, the promotion of the power of innovation of the enterprises in North-Rhine-Westphalia and sustainability highest priority on its political agenda. Lutz Lienenkämper did not miss the opportunity to drive with the electric autonomous bus. It was a very pleasant driving experience for him. "Based on the biography of Minister Lienenkämper, who has already been Minister of Transport in North Rhine-Westphalia, I am particularly pleased that he is very familiar with the field of innovative mobility technologies. We succeeded very well in demonstrating to Lutz Lienenkämper the synergy effects of the co-operation between Schweers and the Areal Böhler," emphasized Michael Schweers, Owner and Managing Director of Schweers/PanStreet.
